Faction HQ is a social hub with marketplaces and a lot of activities that can be performed in these places. To be able to access, you will need at least a neutral relationship with the faction itself. Previously, these places were used just to trade, shop, and meet other players without fear of getting shot. Now it would be another entry point of the world map as well as another exit point. However, the faction would take something as a payment for security exit from the map. That is until you reach a higher reputation with the faction so that they will see you as their own member. Note that while it is safer to exit the location from faction HQ, all people around you know where those HQs are, so you are not completely safe.
You might noticed that we are making the game the way that players would be able to choose one of the factions or choose none. For those who don't want to be aligned with any faction, even though it would give certain benefits, we are adding raids on faction bases. It may sound like an easier way to obtain certain faction technologies, but there are different bases with different technologies stored, so it may take some time before you get what you want. This trick allows lone wolves (players who don't want to be faction allies) and players from opposite factions to get access to stuff that is provided by the factions that players don't have access to. We are still working on it. We need to balance some things out so that one method would not be greater than the other.
Faction news! Have a great weekend, folks! :)
